Ephesians 3:7-9 — Daily Grace
READ THIS: Ephesians 3:7-9
7 I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power. 8 Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ, 9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
Paul is an incredible example of someone willing to give his entire life to Jesus. There are probably a lot of people who would consider Paul to be one of the "best" Christians not named Jesus, but Paul says that out of ALL of God's people, he is "less than the least." What?! Talk about some humility!
Not only that, but Paul sees what he did for the rest of his life (preaching to people who didn't know about Jesus) as an act of grace, not as a thing he could brag about or give himself praise for. Paul knew that from the moment he was confronted by Jesus (Acts 9), he could have been wiped off of the face of the earth by God for being a sinner and someone against Him. Instead, God looked at Paul and loved Him. Because of this, Paul saw that day, and every day after, as a gift of grace and a chance to tell others about Jesus.
We can learn from Paul's example here. We are just as broken as Paul was, and just as deserving of punishment, but God met us with grace! Every day you have ahead of you, including today, is a gift of grace... so what will you do with it?
