Proverbs 30:1-6 — JESUS SIGHTING
READ THIS: Proverbs 30:1-6
1 The sayings of Agur son of Jakeh—an inspired utterance. This man’s utterance to Ithiel: “I am weary, God, but I can prevail. 2 Surely I am only a brute, not a man; I do not have human understanding. 3 I have not learned wisdom, nor have I attained to the knowledge of the Holy One. 4 Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Whose hands have gathered up the wind? Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his son? Surely you know! 5 “Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. 6 Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.
WHAT’S THIS MEAN, ANYWAY?
I am tired, but I'll keep going. I don't feel like I know enough, especially when it comes to wisdom and about who God is. Only God knows everything about heaven and earth and has control to change things about it. When we look at that, and see it, we know who God is and who His son is. Based on that, whatever God says is perfect, and He is the perfect protector. But, when we try to add more to who He is and what He says, then we'll just end up being proved wrong and corrected.
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
