Proverbs 8:1-5 — Hello? Is This Thing On??
READ THIS: Proverbs 8:1-5
1 Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? 2 At the highest point along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand; 3 beside the gate leading into the city, at the entrance, she cries aloud: 4 “To you, O people, I call out; I raise my voice to all mankind. 5 You who are simple, gain prudence; you who are foolish, set your hearts on it.
WHAT’S THIS MEAN, ANYWAY?
God meets us where we are! In our highest hills and in our lowest valleys, God is ready to meet us with His wisdom. When God provides wisdom, it is up to us to listen and take action. If we choose to ignore His wisdom, He will keep calling out until we notice what He has been telling us.
Heard His wisdom? Hold on tight to it. However, wisdom is not meant to be a secret. Wisdom is meant to be shared with people we meet along our faith journey. When you hear God's wisdom, do not run away from it, but run right at it! You never know who you may meet or already met that needs His wisdom.
Looking for wisdom starts with prayer! Ask God for wisdom in something going on in your life. It can be something that is currently happening, about to happen, or has already happened. Listen to His wisdom and take note of what He tells you.
THINK ABOUT IT:
1. Have you ever thought that God was trying to be funny with His wisdom? How did you react?
2. How can we remember the wisdom given to us to share with other people?
