Ephesians 6:23-24 — THE END OF EPHESIANS

READ THIS: Ephesians 6:23-24

23 Peace to the brothers and sisters, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.

WHAT’S THIS MEAN, ANYWAY?

We have reached the END of Ephesians!!!! Tomorrow, we are starting up Proverbs, but for now let's wrap up Ephesians really quick, and this final greeting will help us!

Paul wishes them peace and love with faith and grace to all who love Jesus with an unending love. We learn how to live into peace, love, faith, and grace through this whole letter. First, we learned that God has a final plan for all of us, a plan where everyone, Jew or not Jew, child or parent, boy or girl, can be united in Jesus! Part of why we can be united is through the spiritual gifts God gives us. When we are united, we get to feel peace!

But, a part of accepting those gifts and choosing Jesus means leaving behind our own desires and deciding to live our lives in love of Jesus and love of others. A part of loving others better is by praying for them and using language that only lifts them up.

It's hard to do that when people act in ways that are irritating or rude, but part of growing in faith is following God's lead, which is to love and serve others, whether we're the boss, the kid, the parent, or anything. In God's grace, He makes it so that we CAN love and serve others, but we have to block out Satan, not giving him a foothold, otherwise he'll distract us and make us forget about God and what He wants. We block Satan by accepting God's armor! And ANY ONE of us can do that, whether we are Paul, or that guy Ty, or Aubrey, or June, or Andres.

BAM. You have officially covered Ephesians!!!!

THINK ABOUT IT:

1. What about Ephesians stood out to you the most? (Even if it just comes from this summary)

2. Peace, love, faith, grace. Which of these four do you understand the most? Which do you understand the least?
