Proverbs 6:6-11 — I Got Ants In My Pants
READ THIS: Proverbs 6:6-11
WHAT’S THIS MEAN, ANYWAY?
Stop being lazy in your faith!! Solomon uses the example of an ant to illustrate how hard we must work in our faith. An ant is determined, constantly working, and stays loyal to its colony. An ant doesn't have to be commanded to work, it does so on its own.
We want to strive to be ants for Jesus! In order to do this, we have to set time to open up the Bible, pray, and worship on our own time. It is important that it starts to become part of your daily routine. Sometimes we forget to do those things, and that's okay! However, if you catch yourself saying, "I'll just spend time with God tomorrow," over and over, stop for a second. This is when we start to get lazy! The more we push God to tomorrow, the harder it is to develop a deeper relationship with Him today. Instead of saying tomorrow, stop what you are doing, stay up a little later, and go spend time with God!
THINK ABOUT IT:
1. What makes you say "I'll do it tomorrow" when it comes to reading the bible? What usually happens when tomorrow comes?
2. What is one way you can prevent yourself from being lazy with God?
